NOPI Iceberg Lotus

I recently got NOPI's Iceberg Lotus in a secret santa exchange with my boyfriend's family. In the bottle, it's a glittery teal with a purple tint when turned in the light. On the bottle, there was a sticker that says "new brush" and I figured it would be exactly the same, but NOPE. I absolutely despise this brush :/ it's short and stubby and made a MESS all over my fingers :(
So enough about this brush, on to the polish. This is a BEAUTIFUL color, but I was a little sad that the purple didn't show up on my nails in any light. The purple didn't even show in the bottle when I was in the sunlight. Here it is :)

Despite the wacko brush, I absolutely LOVED this polish.

Deborah Lippmann Edge of Glory Duo (pic heavy)

So, I saw GaGa's workshop on Barney's website and wondered if there would be nail related things on it, and man did she do great:) she teamed up with Deborah Lippmann and came up with the Edge of Glory duo. The first is a cream black (fairly simple) and the second is a flakie holographic awesomeness ;)

The Boxes :)

So, I'm a member of two monthly boxes :) Julep Maven & Birchbox. I decided to do the post for both all in one.

Let's Start with the Julep Maven box
What was in it:
~Julep Helena
~Julep "fast dry" top coat
~Julep nail appliques
~and a little pot of star glitter

Next up is the Birchbox
What's in it:
~Ahava mineral body lotion
~Amika obliphica hair treatment
~Incoco nail polish applique
~Jouer moisturizing lip gloss in Birchbox pink
~ShowStoppers designer fashion tape
~Recharge EBoost orange natural energy booster

Honestly, I haven't tried out anything in either box except for the Jouer mini gloss. I also found it a bit funny that both boxes came with nail appliqués :) I'm almost tempted to put one from each box on each hand and compare the two. I'll definitely post if I do.

Essie's Marshmallow

Today's nails are brought to you by Essie & their white Marshmallow. I absolutely LOVE this color because it has a slight pink tint to the white. It went on with 3 coats and no patchiness. AND we actually had a sunny day, so I have a picture in the sun :)

Cult Nails Clairvoyant

So, I took advantage of the Cult Nails black Friday sale, and ordered Clairvoyant. I really wanted the whole collection, but it sold out in only 4 minutes :(. I decided to show you this wonderfully awesome flakie polish all by itself with no layering. Clairvoyant is a flakie polish with a blue/purple base and super awesome multi color flakes. I used 4 coats :O over OPI Nail Envy and topped with China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

Emma Watson inspired destructo-nails

I was quite inspired by Emma Watson's destructed nails from her November ELLE shoot. Many posts I've seen about it were "hating" on it, but I actually like the look.

I used Manglaze Royal Mattermoaning (with Hot Mess on the ring finger) and took a q-tip and acetone to get rid of the middle-ish section. I topped it off with Orly Sheer Nude.

I may try mattifying it to see what it looks like sometime before I take it off.
