TOMORROW is day 31!! and it will be EPIC :)

Tough As Nails Lacquer Teal Me About It and Spacing Out

Today *procrastinating on my 31dc post* I've got two more Tough As Nails Lacquer  polishes :). Have any of you went to swatch something and fell in love and HATED to take it off? That's what happened when I swatch these awesome polishes :)

The first up is Teal Me About It *Teal Me About It is a clear-based lacquer designed to layer over another color. It includes hex and diamond glitters, enjoys long walks on the beach, and puns.* I layered this over Nina Ultra Pro Gladiator *a SUPER shimmery gold*

Next up is Spacing Out *Spacing Out is a black jelly lacquer. It contains teal, turquoise, blue, and silver holographic hex glitter. Spacing Out likes thinking thoughts, examining her fingerprints, and . . . wait . . . what? * This one I did on its own with two coats, and it's amazingly squishy AND sparkly

Pattern: Finger Print
I decided to go with making a finger print pattern :) I'm in LOVE with how it turned out. I used gold shimmer ink to make the finger prints over H&M's Nerd *the perfect nude*

From the normal point of view, you see a shimmery texture added to the plain creme polish

But up close *cough-macro lens* you see a detailed fingerprint :)

This one wasn't really my favorite so far, and it's a little halfhearted. I'll make sure the rest are super awesome :P

Water marbles and I don't get along very well, so here's my fail attempt at water marbling *that looks funny* I got the hang of it towards the end, but still not great. I've been defeated by the water marble. I'm water marble challenged :(

31 Day Challenge Day 19: Galaxy Nails + my FIRST tutorial

I've never done "proper" galaxy nails, so today -I figured- would be a great day to try. I decided to take pictures for a "tutorial" along the way. YEEEESSSS, I know there's about 100000000000000 tutorials for this particular type of mani *I watched 5 different ones and combined the methods*, but I wanted to do my own. So I'll start with the tutorial and then show my end result :)

Step 1: Paint nails a dark color *I used Cult Nails- Living Water to get more depth than black or navy*

Step 2: Sponge on some white "lines" *or curves*

Step 3: Sponge on yellow, light pink, purple, and green

Step 4:  Re-sponge on your base color around the edges of your "lines"

Step 5: Use a dotting tool *or toothpick* to make stars *I made a few different sizes*

Step 6: put on a *fine* glitter top coat *I used OPI- Pirouette My Whistle*

Add your top coat, and you're done :) I used SOPI's UV effects top coat because it's supposed to "brighten your colors"  It makes the colors change a little in the sun as well *which is pretty cool, I must admit*. The only downside to this top coat is that it takes much longer to dry than my usual Cult Nails Wicked Fast *that -sadly- I'm out of*

31 Day Challenge Day 18: Half Moons

So, I've had this horrid migraine all day, so this was an impatient quick half-moon mani done with a small nail art brush rather than letting my base dry and using a template to make perfect moons. :)

and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get a decent pic :(

Today was a mellow day for me, and I wasn't trying to go over the top with today's challenge. Since it was my boyfriend's sister's engagement party I decided to use the polish that describes me in the situation :) the Rebellious Bridesmaid. You've seen my posts and reviews of Tough As Nails and put your best bet down that it's my FAVE :) *note: I am not paid to promote TANL, I just love to help out a great business and an awesome creator*

I've also gotten some iPhone lenses and have fallen in love with them :) the macro is my FAVE! Check it out
